Tour Program

Day 1: Izmir - Lesvos Island – Jumbo Mall - Agiasos

Meeting point at Alsancak Port: 07:00 - ferry departure at 08:30.

Upon arriving in Lesvos, we will transfer to our vehicle awaiting at the port, and begin our guided tour of the island's main town, Mytilene. Our first stop will be Ayios Therapondas Church, the Metropolitan Church, Ottoman-era public buildings, a mosque, bathhouses, and examples of civil architecture, offering a glimpse into the island's rich history. After our tour, we will enjoy a delicious Greek lunch. Afterward, you'll have some free time to explore the area or indulge in shopping.

After lunch, we will head to Jumbo Mall, one of the largest shopping centers in Greece, where you can find a wide range of products.

Next, we will drive to the picturesque village of Agiasos. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Olympus, this traditional village is famous for its chestnut trees and the Chestnut Festival held every year. Our first stop in Agiasos will be the Panaghia Church, an important Orthodox site. Afterward, you can take a coffee break under the vines and explore the shops offering handmade ceramics and wooden products in the village market.

In the evening, we return to Mytilene, check into our hotel, and enjoy some free time at nearby beaches or shop at open markets on Fridays. You can also relax in one of the cafes along the coast, sipping a cold coffee.

Day 2: Molivos – Petra – Mantamados – Mytilene - Taverna Night

After a delicious breakfast, we head to the charming town of Molivos, also known as Mithymna. Strolling through its lively streets, we will visit the 13th-century Molivos Castle. Afterward, we will continue to the town of Petra. The highlight of Petra will be a visit to the Panagia Glykofilousa Church, perched high on the cliffs, also known as the Sweet-Kissed Virgin Mary Church. We will also visit the Turkish mansion and indulge in the famous local ice cream.

For lunch, we will enjoy a delightful meal at a seaside taverna just across from Ayvalik. After a refreshing meal of oyster pasta, fried zucchini, and seafood, we will head to the village of Mantamados. Here, we will visit the Taxiarxís Monastery and have the opportunity to taste some local specialties, such as Ladotiri cheese, honey yogurt, and Lokma.

After our explorations, we return to the hotel. In the evening, we will gather for a lively Taverna Night, where we can enjoy traditional Greek music and dancing before returning to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: Plomari – Ouzo Factory – Mytilene - Ayvalik - Izmir

After breakfast, we will check out of our rooms and meet at the lobby to begin our journey to Plomari. Famous for being the birthplace of Barbaros Hayrettin Pasha, this town is known for its clear waters and the famous Plomari Ouzo. We will take a walk around the town and learn about its history. Next, we will visit the Barbayanni Ouzo Factory, where we can learn how ouzo is made and, if you wish, purchase some from the factory's shop.

After our visit, we will return to Mytilene, complete the necessary passport checks, and depart for Ayvalik at 17:00. After a ferry ride, we will take a transfer back to Izmir. We will drop you off at the designated locations and bid you farewell, hoping to see you on another journey in the future.
