PROGRAM

Day 1: İzmir - Skopje Direct Flight - Accommodation in Skopje

Attention!!! According to your selected date, Departure from İzmir-Skopje at 22:20 on Tuesday night connecting to Wednesday / Thursday night connecting to Friday. We meet our valued guests at 22:20 at İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal with Sescas Tourism representatives. After our check-in and baggage procedures, we carry out our direct flight with SUNEXPRESS AIRLINES at 01:10 and arrive at Skopje Airport at 01:35 local time. After picking up our luggage and completing our passport and customs procedures, we settle into our hotel in SKOPJE with our waiting bus. Accommodation: Skopje

Day 2: Skopje – Tetova - Bitola – Resen - Ohrid

After having breakfast at our hotel, we start our journey to the city known as Tetova by the Macedonians and Kalkandelen by the Turks. Here we will see the Painted Mosque, known for its rare craftsmanship and motifs in the world, built by two sisters. Then we move to Bitola (Manastır), one of the oldest cities in the Balkans and the historical and cultural paradise of Macedonia. After seeing the Old Bazaar, Bedesten, Ishak Mosque, and Yeni Mosque, we take a short walk on the famous Shirok Street of Bitola. During the walk, we see Atatürk's first love Eleni Karinte's House in Bitola and listen to Eleni's emotional letter to Atatürk from our guide. Later, we visit the Military Academy, where Atatürk received his military education, which now serves as a museum. Then we head towards Ohrid, the pearl of Macedonia. On the way, we see Resen, famous for its apples and Niyazi Pasha. We visit the Palace of Niyazi Pasha and hear about Niyazi Pasha from our guide. We will understand the origin of the phrase "Ne Şehittir Ne Gazi Pisi Pisine Gitti Niyazi." We will see St. Panteleimon Church, the most important Byzantine church in Ohrid, Ayasofya Church, which is still used for concerts today, the Roman Amphitheater, Car Samuel Castle, Chinar Square, Ohrid Halveti Tekke, and the Historical Chinar Tree, and the statue of Kiril and Metodi Brothers, who are thought to have developed the Cyrillic alphabet. After that, we will have a pleasant boat tour on Ohrid Lake to see the unique scenery. After free time, we have dinner and enjoy Macedonian entertainment at our hotel. Accommodation: Ohrid

Day 3: Ohrid – Sveti Naum – Elbasan – Tirana – Shkodra Area

After breakfast, we arrive at the Hidden Paradise St. Naum, located at the source point of Ohrid Lake on the slopes of Mount Pelister, reflecting the harmony of green and blue. Here, if you wish, you can take a 20-minute boat tour (extra) among the unique sounds of nature and the chirping of birds, or enjoy a peaceful coffee. We visit the complex, which is said to be the tomb of Sarı Saltuk, and St. Naum Monastery in this UNESCO World Heritage site. After this visit, which you will admire, we continue our journey towards Albania through the forests. We arrive at the Macedonia-Albania Border Gate, complete passport and customs procedures, and proceed along the Shkumbini River Valley. We continue through ELBASAN, one of the cities established during the Ottoman period in the Balkans, and reach TIRANA, the capital of Albania, which was developed by Süleyman Pasha in 1614 and became the capital in 1920. In this favorite city of Albania, which has been between wars throughout the 20th century and experienced the dictatorship of Enver Hoxha for 40 years, we will see Ethem Bey Mosque, Historical Clock Tower, National Museum, Opera and Ballet Building, Parliament and Prime Ministry Buildings, Presidential Palace, and Skanderbeg Statue and Square. After completing our tour, we move to SHKODRA, an important base of the Ottoman army during the 435 years of Ottoman rule. We see the historical Rozafa castle and listen to its story from our guide. After that, we settle into our hotel in the Shkodra area. Dinner and accommodation at our hotel. Accommodation: Shkodra Area

Day 4: Shkodra - Budva – Kotor – Perast – Trebinje Area (Optional Dubrovnik Tour)

After breakfast, we head towards the country of MONTENEGRO. We give a short photo break at a point where we can see the Sveti Stefan Island, one of the most popular tourist destinations on the Montenegrin coast along the Adriatic. Moving from here, we see the center of BUDVA, one of the most famous holiday centers of the Balkans with its colorful nightlife, and continue to KOTOR, a natural paradise and tourist attraction that has never been captured by the Ottomans due to its geographical conditions. In our walking tour in the fortified city of Kotor, we will see many historical buildings, including the Sea Gate, Weapons Square, Historical Clock Tower, Pillar of Shame, Beskuca Palace, St. Tryphon Cathedral, "Gossip" Fountain, St. Nicholas and St. Luke Churches, and important squares and mansions of the old town. After our Kotor tour, we continue to Perast, a medieval village under UNESCO protection. We will take a short photo break to capture these beauties and then complete the customs procedures at the Bosnia and Herzegovina border gate, leaving Montenegro and entering Bosnia and Herzegovina. Accommodation and dinner will be at our hotel in the Trebinje area. For our guests who wish, there is an optional night tour to DUBROVNIK, the most beautiful city on the Adriatic coast and a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Accommodation: Trebinje Area (Hercegovina Region)

Day 5: Trebinje - Mostar – Blagaj – Sarajevo

After breakfast, we head towards MOSTAR. In Mostar, the most famous city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has left its mark on history with the Balkan War, we will see the historical MOSTAR BRIDGE built by Mimar Sinan's student Mimar Hayreddin in 1566, Koski Mehmet Pasha Mosque, Karagöz Bey Mosque, Historical Turkish Houses, War Museum, and Kujundziluk Bazaar, preserving the old Turkish texture. After free time here, we go to BLAGAJ, located in the south of Mostar, one of the oldest residential areas of Herzegovina. Blagaj, a beautiful and small village where the Buna River, one of the coldest and cleanest rivers in Europe, springs from under the cliffs and the famous Alperenler Lodge, is located at the source of this river. This natural wonder village, with its monasteries, fish restaurants, and sources, is the secret paradise of the Balkans. After a photo break here, we move to SARAJEVO, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In our walking tour in Sarajevo, we will see Başçarşı and its Square, Fountain, Gazi Hüsrev Bey Mosque and Complex, Sahat Kula, Hanikah, Moriça Han, Katip Sinan Mosque, Bazaar Mosque, İnat House, City Hall Building, Latin Bridge where the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand took place, Ferhadiye Street, Cathedral, Synagogue, and churches. We complete our Sarajevo tour and settle into our hotel. After dinner, we go to a Bosnian night with a folklore show and entertainment. Accommodation: Sarajevo

Day 6: Sarajevo - Vrelo Bosne – Belgrade

After breakfast, we set off to see the source of the Bosna River, Vrelo Bosne, in the park with the same name, known as one of the most beautiful natural sites in Bosnia and Herzegovina. You can walk or ride a horse carriage (extra) under the century-old trees to reach the source point, where small streams combine to form the Bosna River. We arrive at the source, which looks like it came out of a postcard, and complete our visit. We move towards Serbia and BELGRADE, one of the most important cities in the Balkans. After completing our customs procedures at the Serbia border gate, we continue our journey through beautiful landscapes and arrive in Belgrade in the evening. After settling into our hotel, we enjoy dinner and rest. Accommodation: Belgrade

Day 7: Belgrade – Nis - Pristina - Skopje

After breakfast, we start our tour of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia and the former capital of Yugoslavia. In our walking tour, we see the old Turkish neighborhoods, Belgrade Castle and Kalemegdan Park, Military Museum, Istanbul Gate, Damat Ali Pasha Tomb, Belgrade Victor, Sava and Danube rivers, Clock Tower, Nebojsa Tower, Leopold Gate, King Alexander Street, National Theatre and National Museum buildings, St. Sava Cathedral, Bayraklı Mosque, and many other historical places. After free time, we head towards the south of Serbia, passing through the cities of Nis, Novi Pazar, and Kosovo Pristina, which declared its independence from Serbia in 2008. After a panoramic city tour of Pristina, we proceed to Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia. Accommodation at our hotel in Skopje. Dinner and rest. Accommodation: Skopje

Day 8: Skopje City Tour - İzmir

After breakfast, we start our tour of Skopje, the city where the Ottomans ruled for more than 500 years. In our city tour, we see Yahya Pasha Mosque, Isa Bey Mosque, Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Kale Fortress, Old Train Station, Stone Bridge, Davut Pasha Baths, Macedonian Square, Museum of Mother Teresa, Alexander the Great Statue and Square, and Warrior on a Horse Statue. We then visit the Turkish Bazaar and see the Sulu Han, Kurşunlu Han, Kapan Han, and Cifte Hammam, followed by a visit to Murat Pasha Mosque and the clock tower. After free time in the bazaar, we gather and go to Skopje Airport for our return flight to İzmir. We complete our check-in procedures for our flight with SunExpress Airlines at 19:00 and arrive in İzmir at 21:10. We bid farewell to our guests with hopes to meet in another Sescas Tourism organization.
